Troubleshooting Tips

Connect using Java

Some PC's configurations may have problems connecting using the Netsilica ActiveX control.  In these cases try connecting with Java using this following link:  Employee-Physician SecureID Login (Java)

Popup Blockers

It you have a popup blocker, the auto launch of terminal services may not work.  You may need to disable the popup blocker or configure it to allow popups from docapps.chomp.org

Long Connection Times

The first connection will require additional time to load and install the 600KB ActiveX plug-in. If the CHOMP terminal services window does not launch a connection error may be displayed.  If this error occurs, close all IE windows, verify the trusted site procedure in step1, then try connecting again.

Minimal IE Security Settings without adding a trusted site from step 1 above.

Open IE and click Tools/Internet Options/Security/Internet/Custom Level.  Find and enable “Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins” in the list of options.  Click “Apply” and close IE.

Windows XP Hotfix

Some early versions of Windows XP Service Pack 2 will require Microsoft Hotfix KB994020 before using secure remote access.  If you have Windows XP and are unsure about the patch level you may run Hotfix KB994020 from the link below which will check to see if its required.

Click to Install XP/SP2 Hotfix-KB884020
